All award winners will be recognized at the 2025 state convention in Gettysburg. All nominations/ applications are due by January 1, 2025 to the PHA office.
Hall of Fame Award
The Hall of Fame award is presented annually to a member(s) of the Pennsylvania Holstein Association recognizing an individual or couple for their achievements and contributions to the Holstein Industry as well as involvement and leadership in other agricultural and community activities. This could be an individual(s) that is an accomplished Registered Holstein breeder or has significantly contributed in leadership and involvement to the PA Holstein Association, or both

Pioneer Memorial Award
The Pioneer Memorial Award is to posthumously recognize an individual, not already in the Pennsylvania Holstein Association Hall of Fame, for their contributions to the Holstein industry at the local, state, and national levels. This award will be selected by the Hall of Fame Committee and be awarded to no more than one person per year. Nominations can be made on behalf of former Pennsylvania Holstein members who worked for the improvement of the Holstein breed and its members in Pennsylvania.

Distinguished Supporter Award
The Distinguished Supporter Award is presented annually to recognize an individual or company (not a current dairy farmer/producer) who through their work has supported and enhanced the work and goals of the Pennsylvania Holstein Association. The recipient must be living at the time of the nomination.

Distinguished Young Breeder Award
The contest is open to any Pennsylvania and National Holstein Association member between the ages of 21-40 (as of January 1, 2024) who owns or has management responsibilities for a herd of cows such as a herdsman, partner, or member of an LLC. The herd must be on official DHIA test. The award is to recognize accomplishments of Young Holstein Breeders and to encourage them to establish goals that will aid in their management decisions to help achieve a profitable dairy operation.
