The Pennsylvania Junior Holstein Association is home to 300+ young Holstein enthusiasts, ages 9-21. Become a Junior Holstein member today in order to participate in 20+ contests including Dairy Bowl, Dairy Jeopardy, public speaking, and more! Junior membership is also necessary to be recognized as a junior showing at PHA sanctioned shows.
Not only will a junior membership enable one to compete in contests and shows, but it will also allow them to create lifelong friendships and connections with other youth across the state who have the same interests in the Holstein breed and the dairy industry!
Drive to Excellence, Caleb McGee Memorial Award
Caleb McGee was a Pennsylvania Junior Holstein member who was lost too soon in early 2020. Not only was Caleb a passionate dairy enthusiast and dedicated showman, he was also a talented singer and active community member. In 2022, the “Drive to Excellence, Caleb McGee Memorial Award” was started to honor the legacy of Caleb. Abigail Stoltzfus, of Pennwood Farms in Berlin, PA, was recognized as the inaugural winner. Abby was recognized at the Premier National Junior Show in Harrisburg where she received a plaque and cash prize. Abby is a junior at Penn State University studying Wildlife & Fisheries, with a focus on conservation in the dairy industry. She has been active in the Somerset County Junior Holstein association since she was nine and has competed in numerous Junior Holstein contests over the years. We hope to continue to honor Calebs legacy for many years and are happy to recognize Abby as our first recipient!
